The Ewe Experience, Cork

Glengarriff, West Cork, Ireland

On the second day of our road trip we visited The Ewe Experience in Glengarriff, Cork. It was recommended to us as a must visit by my boyfriend's parents and I'm so glad they suggested it to us. It's a very unique art installation, completely different to anything I've seen before. It's Ireland's only interactive and interpretative sculpture park. Art blends seamlessly with nature, sculpture upon sculpture peaks out from among forest and flowing water. Each work of art carry it's own message be it cultural, political, environmental or personal. I was truly in awe of the sheer volume of mixed media work and how while all different it blended so perfectly together and into it's surroundings. This post shares just a sample of the beautiful work that is a testament to the talent of  the artist Sheena Woods. If your visiting Glengarriff  you have to add the Ewe Experience to your itinerary. According to their website it's open June-August from 10am-6pm, we visited in September so check out their Facebook if your interested in visiting. Entrance is €6.50 for adults and €5 for kids, 2 adults and 2 kids cost €20.

There's plenty more adventures from The Wild Atlantic Way to come!
