Station Square Pittsburgh

I can't believe how long it is taking me to getting round to sharing all my pictures of Pittsburgh, but then there was alot of pictures and alot of life getting in the way of blogging. If you're interested so far I've shared my adventures at Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers & Pirates Stadiums. As well as showing what I got up to in America, it gives a little look into what I wear on holidays. While in Pittsburgh we visited Station Square, a shopping and dining destination which was once a railway complex. If you want to pick up a perfect souvenir there is really great shops here selling everything Steelers, Pirates or Penguins related you could possibly want. The Freight House shops were once a train shed. Bessemer court is at the center of Station Square and houses a Hard Rock Cafe and a Waltzing Waters Liquid Fireworks show (in other words an impressive fountain with dancing, multicolored water jets to music). Behind Station square is an incline where you can get incredible views of the city on a cable car trek.

We took a dinner cruise on the Gateway Clipper Fleet around the 3 rivers at night, where we got to take in all the sights we had visited in Pittsburgh on water while eating a BBQ style dinner and enjoying an open bar. There is a serious number of bridges to pass under on your journey and an open top on the boat to take it all in with a perfect view.

That's almost it from our trip, I have just one more post planned with random snippets of our air travel, how we entertained ourselves travelling and where we stayed while in Pittsburgh. Hopefully I'll post these at some stage this weekend.
