"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you" Dr. Seuss
Returning to college feels like the start of a whole new year and I have so much I want to achieve in just 9 months, therefore I thought it was time for a to do list (how I love a good ol' to do list!). After the summer months it can be hard to get back in a productive mood and with college and part time work I'm defiantly going to be productive! I feel an urge to achieve more artistically, to improve health and fitness wise, to contribute more environmentally, improve my photography, travel more and also blog more.
Nine months may seem like ages but when you factor in everything you have to do on a day to day basis it doesn't leave a great deal of time for other things. It's all about good time management and being as efficient as possible (easier said than done). Anyway on to my to do list, it's only a work in progress and will no doubt grow and change throughout the college year...
TO DO: 1. Travel somewhere I have never been before 2. Become more involved with making a positive change in the world, particularly environmentally 3. Find the time to paint 4. Make a new dress from scratch, draft my own pattern for it 5. Volunteer
6. Declutter my wardrobe and my space 7. Improve this blog and post regularly 8. Read The Origin of Species 9. Study and achieve my best in college 10. Learn to cook (at least I can bake it's a start!) 11. Go to more concerts 12. Have a more Eco friendly Christmas 13. Get fit (power walking here I come!) 14. Photograph something every week 15. Return to writing again
Fingers crossed I stick to my list I did reasonably well with my summer list, although I didn't get to do everything on there, I hurt my foot so no surfing this summer unfortunately. On to the outfit, the dungarees as shorts look gets another outing but styled slightly different with the straps visible. I love this top, it was a mans large tshirt that my sister and me DIYed. We created the DIY slash tee by simply marking two points either side of the collar with a pen and with a very sharp scissor cut across to remove the collar. Don't mark your points where you want to cut too far from the neck or the top will just fall of your shoulders. I'm going to miss wearing shorts and flip flops as Autumn has arrived, rain and colder weather coming along with it.
Outfit details: DIY slash tee, dungarees worn as shorts (diesel) handme down so FREE, flipflops (Primark) 1.50 for 2 pairs, ribbon as hairband (previously Christmas gift wrapping) FREE, bangles (my debs jewlery), watch and engagement ring (presents from boyfriend)
