The bank holiday weekend flew by in a flurry of Galway adventure. I'm afraid this is not a post of beautiful planned, shoot and edited pictures, it's just real life girly fun. We packed our bags on Friday, hopped on a train in Dublin and set out for a girls weekend. The train was jammed with friends, couples and stag parties all heading to the Galway races. When the train pulled up in Erye Square, we ran from the rain to our hostel which was perfectly placed right next to the train station. We stayed in Galway City Hostel, I've only stayed in hostels a couple of times before, but this one seemed very impressive. It was immaculate, had free wifi and the location was excellent, we did pay €50 a night which is pricey but races weekend is so expensive and books up ages in advance. Bags dropped off, it was on to Primark to pick up last minute additions to our outfits and St. Moriz tan of course. Then it was time at last for some food and a welcome drink. A pub crawl was on the cards for night one, making it very difficult to get dolled up for the races on Saturday morning but we soldiered on. I'm not really a hat or fascinator type of girl so I opted for a gold headband from Zara with a touch of backcombed hair. None of us won big at the races, in fact our cumulative winnings amounted to €2, but we had fun regardless.

Did you make it to the races, I'd love to see your outfits!
