The Bridge of Sighs
A word of warning, Venice is the most expensive place I have ever been so be very careful to read menus. Avoid eating very close to the main attractions, check for service charges and have a look at prices of drinks, water for €12 anyone. Buy drinks in the little shops instead of cafes and restaurants. A gondola ride may seem super touristy but I am definitely glad I went for it, sure it's pricey and cheesy but it's instantly what you think of when you think of Venice.
Piazza San Marco
La Bottega dei Mascareri, located at the foot of the Rialto bridge, is the perfect place to buy a souvenir or thoughtful gift as it sells authentic masks for affordable prices. The selection of masks in this tiny story is jaw dropping. These makes have featured in an astonishing selection of publications and events. Purchase a gold leaf, gem encrusted mask to make your bedroom decor one of a kind. Don't forget to check out the photos in the window of some of the famous visitors, such as Sandra Bullock.
Have you been to Venice? What was your favorite part?

When You Dream Big
I went to Venice a couple of years ago and loved it but the heat really was unbearable! We managed to find a few cheap places for food and drinks after a bit of research first. X
