Lahinch & Doolin, Clare

Lahinch Beach Front, Lahinch, Clare
Doolin, Clare

Walking on a windy beach followed by huge servings of warm food is the most amazing feeling. Doolin and Lahinch are perfect places for those kind of days. Both towns are located on the Clare coast, are popular surfing destinations and you can easily take them in in the same day. We drove from Tralee to Limerick to Clare, visited Bunratty castle and then drove on to Lahinch. So naturally after a walk along Lahinch promenade we were absolutely starving. Luckily Randaddys is located right on the water front serving amazing pizzas. Obviously we followed pizza with a generous helping of iceream and then it was back in the car to explore the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin. Despite Doolin's small size there is plenty of amazing food to try. We dropped into Sea Salt cafe for breakfast after staying the night in the cutest glamping pod. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the baked treats were perfect for gifts. I picked up handmade raspberry marshmallows and chocolate meringues for my mammy, the best presents are the ones you can eat.

Next up: Visiting the Cliffs of Moher
