If you like sugar, and I mean really really like sugar, I've got the place for you to pig out to your hearts content. We're talking extreme milkshakes, doughnut and giant cookie icecream sandwiches, Oreo, Crunchie or Reeses s'more waffle sandwiches, crepes... Basically death to your skinny jeans and diets but serious joy for your sweet tooth and Instagram account of course. Sweet Republic is from the founders of Decobake and is located just along the street from it on Bachelor's Walk, Dublin (it's right next to the Arlington hotel). This candy colored heaven is desert paradise. I recommend the giant cookie icecream sandwich (€5). First pick your choice of cookie, I went for Smartie, then pick from a mouthwatering selection of Irish icecream, my pick was cookies and cream, lastly choose your topping from jellies, chocolates and marshmallows. Be prepared for a queue as it can get very busy, luckily for us we avoided the wait as we went early on Sunday in the lashing rain, every cloud has a silver lining I guess!
